ICAB HISTORY

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Belize was established in 1984 through the enactment of the Accountancy Profession Act. At the commencement of the Act, the persons who were for the time being members of the Belize Association of Accountants, by virtue of such membership, became members of the Institute and all assets and liabilities of the Belize Association of Accountants, vested in it immediately before the commencement of the Act, were transferred to and vested in the Institute.
